It was a good weekend. Lots of great British cars, trucks and yes, a handful of bikes. This year I arranged for our RAT Pack (Triumph Riders Association of Portland) to have tent set up among all the British car club tents. It was great, I was able to talk to a lot of people and let them know about the history and heritage of Triumph motorcycles. On Saturday, they had the actual field meet show. My bike won 2nd place in the Modern British Bike category. I wish I had a dollar for every time I had the opportunity to say, "They never stopped making them", "Yes, they sill make them", or "Yes, they still are British". Hopefully I will be able to generate more interest among more Triumph motorcycle owners (especially the modern Triumphs) to attend and participate the ABFM next year.

It was a great day. There were almost 800 British vehicles to drool over. This year there were almost three times as many modern Triumph motorcycles than last year and almost twice as many vintage British bikes. Once again I set up a tent for TRAP to let people know that Triumph Motorcycles still do exist and are better than ever and to let people know about the history and heritage of Triumph (over 100 years of continous production and the only all British owned vehicle company left in the world).

T.R.A.P. Annual Baker City Rally, September 9-12, 2010. There were a lot of great roads and great people. My wife and I ended up riding just about 1000 miles over four days (yes, she rides her own bike). I was finally able to get up to Hell's Canyon and up to the Hell's Canyon Dam on Friday (previous attempts failed because of wild fires). That ride included stops in Halfway, Oregon and Cambridge, Idaho. Saturday was a short ride to the Oregon Trail Interpretative Center, Medical Springs, Union and North Powder.

For the third year in a row all the Northwest RAT Packs were invited to the Spring Northwest RAT Lunch in Chehalis. Unfortunately Sowerby’s doesn’t exist any more so we had to find a new place. We had lunch at the Lit Carson Restaurant. It was a good place. We had a nice big room to all meet in. In all there were about 60 people that showed up. It was good to meet and chat with people that we usually on get to see a cou8ple times a year. Even better, the weather cooperated with us too.

This year was what I think was the most attended Northwest RAT lunch in the four years that we have had this ride. I counted 62 bike and the restaurant counted 70 people. It may be a little bit more or less by a couple. It was great to see people that we only get the chance to see only once or twice a year. I think we had riders from just about every Triumph dealer in the I-5 corridor. Next years Northwest RAT lunch will be April 25th, 2010.

Every May, the Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists hosts a vintage motorcycle show at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Corvallis Oregon. This year the weather was great and the bikes were great.

Triumph day at Portland International Raceway June 24, 2007. Lots of great Triumphs both old and new. Not to mention there was some awesome racing going on the track.

The RAT Packs from Cascade Moto Classics (T.R.A.P ~ Triumph Riders Association of Portland), Cycle Mart (Olympia RAT) and Lynwood Cycle Barn (LCBR) had lunch at Sowerby's in Chehalis, Washington. It was the first annual lunch. We had about 50 bikes show up. The weather on the ride going up to Chehalis was good. Going home was another story completely, it was an absolute down-pour the entire way (100+ miles home).

This was the first time we held the lunch in August. It is going to continue to be held twice a year, the last Saturday of April and the last Saturday of August.
